Bangalore-based Forthcode has launched ANiX, an artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for monitoring inflight entertainment and passenger engagement.
The company plans to demonstrate the system at the ForsaTEK 2026 event in Dubai on 21-22 September, to show how passengers can interact conversationally with onboard content and services through an ANiX-enabled IFE platform.
According to Forthcode, the system has been developed to operate offline in the aviation environment, where connectivity can be intermittent or unavailable. Passengers could use the platform to search for suitable entertainment, request information on meals, browse duty-free products or obtain destination recommendations.
The company says the kit can do more than provide answers. Where integrated, requests could be passed to crew applications, onboard inventory, catering and retail platforms, potentially enabling airlines to respond more effectively to passenger needs.
"AI in aviation needs to do much more than answer questions," said Forthcode CEO Ajith Balakumar. "The real opportunity is connecting passenger intent with the systems, knowledge and people capable of acting on it."
The demonstration builds on Forthcode's work within the Emirates Aviation X Lab ecosystem and collaborations with technology partners including Thales and Collins Aerospace.
